It is a relief that October is almost over. It has been a stressful month and not really lucrative. Despite the full month at Celtic Swan Gallery and four exhibitions on one of the weekends, I didn’t sell a single painting at any of them, not even the official opening at Celtic. People are just not spending, I think, and art is a luxury way down on the list in tight financial times. But it isn’t all bad.

I was very small when I began to draw so I can’t remember when it all started. I do remember that as a little girl my bedroom walls were covered in my drawings of horses and animals and that I wrote my own stories and illustrated them - I still have some of them today. Read more…
